Don't have time/energy to train your dog? Let one of our professional trainers do it for you! We work with you to develop a training program to meet the needs of you and your dog, then we implement the training program. We may work with your dog in/around your home, in our training facilities, or at other public areas.
The goal with day training is to speed up the process of teaching your dog specific behaviors. Day training is appropriate for teaching behaviors and skills (for example, sit, stay, come, leash walking), not for resolving serious behavioral challenges (such as aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, etc). Lastly, it is important to keep in mind that day training does not mean that you will not be involved in the training of your dog. On the contrary, your participation is crucial: you must be available once per week to meet with the trainer to discuss (1) what your dog is learning, (2) how to practice with your dog, and (3) how to use the cues being taught to your dog.
Day training sessions with your dog are typically booked as half-days. The speed and effectiveness of day training is influenced heavily by the frequency of training sessions and proper follow-through by the owner. As a result, we will require clients to book a minimum of two training sessions plus a review session with the trainer per week.
(We do not currently provide board-and-train service. We will not keep your dog overnight since we do not have the facilities for boarding and keeping your dog will reduce your opportunity to develop a positive relationship with your dog.)
Cost varies (and often covers training time, training supplies and equipment, pick up/transport). Contact us to set up a free consultation to meet you and your dog and to discuss your requirements so that we can prepare an estimate for you.
